About
“Gitano Lanza” - the nickname given by Spanish musicians astounded by Lance’s Flamenco talent. Passionate about music Lanza has; studied with master musicians in many styles, majored in music at TWU & Capilano College, toured internationally & taught master classes in North America, Asia & Europe. As a recipient of multiple awards including; the “2000 Battle of the Bands Best Guitarist Award”, & the “2012 CFG Malaga Spain International Guitar Award”, Lanza has also performed with Juno & Grammy Award-winning artists, including the “Gipsy Kings" (2015 Tour).
Lance performs regularly as both a soloist, and in groups with; “Ibriam & Lance”, “Rumba Rio”, and “Piel Canela & the Gipsy” (where Mexican bandleader has said, “Lance may be a Canadian but he has a Mexican soul!”)
